Constructed with aerospace grade materials, the Slipstream is built for longevity, and is extremely efficient at dissipating heat generated by intense workloads. It’s unique layout allows it to be infinitely upgradeable.

The Slipstream is designed and over-engineered like an aircraft frame, using high-grade materials typically reserved for aerospace purposes. The aircraft aluminum body is a structural and integral extension of the internal components, rather than a simple case. Each planar element doubles as a heatsink for an assigned component, efficiently dissipating heat. It seductively exposes some of its inner workings, while cleverly concealing and protecting sensitive parts. Rigid and lightweight, the Slipstream’s distinct construction and structural anatomy not only gives it a compelling look, but also a very durable and upgrade-friendly machine that will allow users to keep its technologically current.

Slipstream is a sustainable machine that people will want to keep. Most desktops will eventually be wholly discarded in favor of a newer model; and because of this, are made cheaply with inferior materials. In contrast, the Slipstream is rugged and durable—made with thick, aircraft aluminum and recycled EcoResin. Combined with its unique sculptural form and upgradeable practicality, the Slipstream encourages users to hold onto them. The Slipstream is perpetually upgradeable and will last a lifetime. The Slipstream AP242 was designed completely in-house at Darwin Machine, and is a Finalist in the prestigious 2017 IDEA design competition. Each Slipstream has a unique number, and is individually built to order, by hand. We never copy. We originate.

All our chassis are made from the very best raw materials and hardware. Their handmade nature may sometimes be evident in the form of tool marks and light scratches. This human touch enhances the authenticity and uniqueness of each product.
